Okay, so what on earth is harajuku ??

Harajuku is the name of a place located in Japan & in this area, people are usually dressed in a really fun and crazy manner to show cast their own creativity and style; like a freedom of expression for themselves on the contrary against the very uniform-like culture that japan has. 

It's a way of breaking the formality without breaking the rules. 

very common styles you will probably see in harajuku:

1)Decora (Bright colours, kawaii)

2) Lolita (Dolls)

3)The rebels (Gothic)
